In what has been an incredibly trying time for everyone, the property landscape has been no different. Recently however, in light of restriction relief, the property market has begun to turn a corner toward normalcy. Read on for greater insight into what has led to the positive turnaround. 

While there has understandably been apprehension by purchasers and renters in the current climate, the number of searches for rental properties on has increased by 3.1 per cent this week alone, its sixth consecutive weekly increase. What this signifies is that confidence in the market is beginning to return and people are closely monitoring property performance. 

Some other notable facts to consider:

  • Enquiries received per new development listings increased by 64%.
  • New property visits increased nationally by 79.91%.
  • Year-on-year for sale search activity has now increased by 49 per cent, which represents the largest annual increase on record.
  • Year-on-year rental search volumes have increased by 15.4 per cent – the largest annual increase since early August of last year.
