Thornhill Park: The West’s Hidden Gem
Conveniently nestled between the bustling hubs of Caroline Springs and Melton, the suburb of Thornhill Park is a hidden gem of the West.

There are many good reasons why the area was the number one hotspot for growth in the past year (according to a 2017/2018 HIA report the population grew by almost 60%!) and today we are letting you in on a few local secrets about Thornhill Park and its surrounds.

Fun is easy to find.
There are a dozen immersive parks in the neighbourhood, enough for the kids to go exploring all weekend long. Thornhill Park is home to Wiltshire Boulevard Reserve with its brightly coloured, futuristic structures for the young ones to clamber and climb on while grown-ups tend to the barbeques.

Once the kids are all worn out, parents can have their own fun by taking a quick drive for an afternoon of wine tasting at the sprawling Witchmont or Galli Estate cellar doors. If retail therapy is more your style, why not pop past Woodgrove Shopping Centre? With over 160 speciality stores you’re sure to find something that catches your eye.

Sport is life around here.
Move-in and you could soon find yourself barracking for – or even playing for! – the Rockbank Rams football or netball teams. Our local sporting club has a 100-year long history and we just can’t resist a good underdog story. Perhaps rugby union is more your speed? The Melton Warriors has a home base here too!

Plus there are hockey, bowls, tennis and even harness racing clubs very close by. Thornhill Park estate will also have a huge sporting field at its core.

You will feel like part of a real community.
While construction has already begun on what will be a vibrant town centre, there are plenty of other ways to feel connected in the meantime.

Keep an eye on what’s on at the Rockbank Community Hall or through the ‘Linking Rockbank’ initiative; you might discover free movie nights, BBQs, creative classes or concerts.

Why not give back and volunteer within your community? There are a number of opportunities in the area and if you really want to make an impact, the local CFA welcomes all types of recruits!
